Pet Wellness Services

Annual wellness examines are recommended for all animal between 1-7 years of age. We recommend your first puppy and kitten exam at 8 weeks. We recommend a senior animal wellness exam every 6 months. We offer a variety of parasite prevention programs, as well as core vaccinations, as well as optional vaccines depending on your pet’s individual risk assessment.
We offer conventional medicine, comprehensive dentistry and surgery, as well as holistic options for your pet’s care. We also treat exotic pets at our animal hospital.

Conventional Western Medicine Wellness

Early detection of any disorders will enable us to recommend choices to help maintain your furry friend’s quality of life. In order to do this, we recommend yearly wellness exams and twice a year consults for senior pets. Our puppies and kittens usually have monthly exams beginning at the age of 8 weeks. Prevention is one of the best tools to keep your pet’s health optimal.
Families need to make informed decisions with many options that best fit their belief system and approach to health care. Advanced board-certified specialists are available right at our facility for our clients’ convenience.

We individualize your pet’s treatment plan to match your wishes. Our holistic approach to pet care offers many alternative medicine styles much of which complement existing and on-going conventional treatments. We have certified specialists with advanced training in the fields of Reiki, Acupuncture & traditional Chinese medicine, animal communication, naturopathy, and chiropractic care. There are many modalities of care that families can choose from.

Diagnostic Services

We perform both in-house laboratory exams as well as referral lab work reviewed by a board-certified pathologist. We have digital X-ray and offer a board-certified radiologist to perform ultrasounds and review of X-ray images. We have internal medicine specialists available to consult on more challenging cases. If your pet is in need of endoscopy, we have consultants come in and perform these tests.

Dental Care

We have in-house digital dental x-ray and offer full dentistry services.

Surgical Services

We offer both general surgeries as well as advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries performed by a board-certified surgeon. All surgeries are monitored by a registered Animal technologist.

Emergencies

During office hours, we offer a variety of North Vancouver veterinary emergency services.
After hours, the Vancouver Animal Emergency and referral center provides emergency care services.

Grooming & Boarding

Grooming Services

At Harbourview Animal Hospital, our team is happy to provide a variety of grooming services – including U-bath.
With U-bath, you can leave the mess and clean up to us. We provide shampoo, towels and a walk in deep bath tub.
