Harbourview Animal Hospital StaffSusanne AHT

Susanne joined Harbourview Animal Hospital as a locum veterinary technician in November 2017 following Veronica’s retirement. From a career primarily in emergency and critical care she enjoys some day shifts in regular family practice and routine procedures. She works part time at the VCA Canada Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre as an emergency and critical care technician. She has been with them since graduating from the Animal Health Technology program in Kamloops now called Thompson Rivers University in 1986. Aside from maternity leaves after the birth of her two sons the call to work in the veterinary field remains strong as it is very interesting and she has been able to work with so many amazing people over the past years. She also works from a home office as VP Finance for her husband’s company looking after bookkeeping and accounting matters. She lives with her husband Marc, her two sons Hunter and Forrest, Luke the flame point Siamese X and recently adopted Calvin the Border Collie X. When not busy working she spends her time dog walking/training, skiing, swimming, cycling, camping, cooking, baking, reading and volunteering at her kids schools. She speaks German fluently and can converse in French.
